The Russell Fair is a beloved tradition in our community—but did you know it typically does not make money?
Many people are surprised to learn that the Fair is not a big fundraiser. So how does it happen each year?
The Russell Agricultural Society relies heavily on:
• Fundraisers hosted throughout the year
• Generous support from our sponsors
• Countless hours from our dedicated volunteers
Did You Know?
- The amusement rides are owned and operated by Robertson’s Amusements, a valuable partner in creating an enjoyable Fair experience for all ages. Robertson’s has sole control over ticket prices and ride availability.
- The Russell Agricultural Society is a member of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Fairs (OAAS) as well as the Canadian Association for Fairs and Exhibitions (CAFE)
Why Do We Do It?
The Russell Agricultural Society has a mandate to enrich rural life, showcase agricultural diversity and to provide agricultural awareness and education to our communities. Our annual Russell Fair provides us the opportunity to bring our communities together for fun and education!
